Energy Project

Pelangi is one of the partners in Energy Project, an informal network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from low income countries in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America. The focus of the energy project is energy sector policy.

The project aims to:

  • Support and build the capacity of Energy Project partners, and others, to be able to address issues related to energy, climate and development at their respective national or regional level.

  • Reverse the current general direction of the flow of information among NGOs in relation to energy, climate and development so that information increasingly flows from the South and CEE to the North, contributing to a more equitable hearing in international and IFI decision making processes.

  • Improve the understanding of NGOs, and others, outside the Energy Project, with respect of Southern and CEE perceptions of energy, climate and development issues.
