Pelangi.or.id – (Watch) New Leaked Video of Kuje Prison Attack Shows, The Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorist group has claimed responsibility for Tuesday night’s attack on the Kuje Medium Security Prison in Abuja where detainees, including Boko Haram terrorists, were released.
The terrorist group said in a short video released on Wednesday that it had managed to free several prisoners. The 38-second video, released by Islamic State’s A’maq agency, has Arabic subtitles, which translates to “Islamic State fighters pursued Kuje prison in Abuja yesterday and managed to free several prisoners.”
During the recording, gunshots could be heard and the attackers stopped the cars for alternate aim in the fire. In a statement on Wednesday, the Nigerian Correctional Service said: “A total of 879 inmates escaped from the facility at the time of the tragic attack. 443 inmates are still at large.”

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abubakar Umar, said: “Four inmates died and 16 inmates sustained injuries of various degrees and are currently receiving treatment. However, efforts are on to recover. All escaped inmates.”
